Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23

Many will hear the gospel of the kingdom, but many who hear will not be saved. The difference does not depend on the content or the presentation of the message, but upon the kind of reception it finds in the hearts of those who hear. The world, the flesh, and the Devil all seek to undermine the reception of the gospel in those who hear it preached. Those who hear the word of God, should take care to listen and to guard what they have heard.
