1 Timothy 1:5-11

We cannot make ourselves righteous through observance of God’s laws. However, the law does still have a continuing purpose. The law; condemns us as sinners and causes us to seek a Savior, restrains the destruction of evil in the earth, and trains us in what God’s love looks like so that we may learn to love.
