1 Peter 5:1-4

Passage Summary: The position of Elder is rewarding and rewarded work. Elders are under-shepherds following Christ’s model in caring for the sheep of God’s pasture. They are accountable to give humble oversight to the local assembly and lead by example. It is gravely serious work, and yet a position to be desired and joyfully executed.
