Colossians 3:23-25 

After the injunction to do all things as if you are rendering service to Christ, Paul adds this motivation; Christ is a master who rewards good work and punishes wickedness. We are not to think that the sons of the kingdom can sin with impunity. For if the God rebuked Eli for not restraining the wickedness of his sons, He will show himself to be a more honorable Father who disciplines the sons and daughters He loves, and judges all things with an equal standard.
