Matthew 8:1-4

Jesus has the authority to cleans from sin. This was proved by his power to cure incurable diseases. All the clean and unclean laws of the Old Covenant are fulfilled in Christ. They pointed to his final work to make us who are unacceptable accepted in Christ and part of the covenant community. All of us unclean sinners can therefore approach Christ with confidence that he is willing and able to make us clean.
